Official posters are free
Government agencies publish these posters free of charge. You can download and print every one of them from the links on this page. Buying a commercial all-in-one poster is optional.
Printing: print each poster at the size the agency provides. The paper size is listed under each poster. Many are letter size (8.5 x 11), but some are legal size, 11 x 17 or larger. Shrinking a large poster to fit letter paper can make it hard to read, and some laws set a minimum size. Where no size is listed, the link opens the agency’s page; check the size there.

Good to know
- The Kentucky OSH, Wage and Hour and Wage Discrimination posters may print as two pages. Print them landscape on letter-size paper and join the halves before posting. (source)
- Under KRS 344.040(3)(b), added by the Kentucky Pregnant Workers Act, an employer must conspicuously post a written notice of the right to be free from discrimination related to pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions, including the right to reasonable accommodation, at its place of business in an area accessible to employees. The statute does not state its own employee threshold; KRS 344.030 defines employer as having 8 or more employees in the state, and 15 or more for purposes of pregnancy accommodations. The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights' Equal Employment Opportunity poster lists pregnancy among the protected categories. (source)
- The workers' compensation notice must be at least 8 1/2 by 11 inches with print no smaller than 12-point, in the same format as the state's Workers Compensation Notice form. (source)

Kentucky employers also need federal posters. Which ones apply depends on your number of employees and type of business. The U.S. Department of Labor’s free Poster Advisor tells you which federal posters your business needs.

Where and how to post
Post the notices in a conspicuous place where employees and applicants can easily see them, such as a break room or next to the time clock. Some notices must also be given to employees directly or offered in other languages; the agency pages above say when.
Remote employees: The EEOC says electronic posting usually supplements the physical poster. For employers without a physical location, or for employees who work remotely and don't regularly visit the workplace, electronic posting may be the only posting. (EEOC)
